Reflecting in Paradise
This picture was taken in Cancun, when I went to a resort with my family and went swimming with dolphins. The picture was of land, with sea behind it, but now looks like an island. If I were to change something, it would be the line down the middle, as I think it makes the image look a little bit fake. I tried to smudge the line out, but that did not work. I couldn't figure out why the image looked so separated, but I tried my best to make it appear realistic. I think the colors in this picture makes it stand out a lot, and I really enjoy both the original and the new edited picture.
The dog I Never Had
This is a picture of one of my cats. The fake shadow is of a dog, because I've always wanted a dog, but I have never had one. This cat also acts a lot like a dog, so the shadow reflects his personality. To create this picture, I used the transform tool, brush, eyedropper, eraser, lasso and more. It was a lot easier to create than I expected, and I think it looks pretty realistic (if a cat could have a dog as its shadow). One thing I would do differently is blur the background to get rid of the noise, but when I attempted this, it made the shadow look less realistic. Cropping the picture would get rid of the shadow also, so I had to put up with the noise in the background. I don't think it detracts from the image, as it makes it look more realistic, as if it were taken with that shadow.
