Who I am
In this image, I am trying to show people who I am. The photographs I have overlapped to create the picture are all taken by me, and all mean something to me. This image conveys who I am as a person in a visual way. The first layer is Big Ben, I took this image while in England visiting my family. I was born in England, and have moved back and forth between here and there throughout my life. This layer represents my heritage. The second layer is a picture of my passport. I love to travel, and love to visit new places as much as I can. This layer is here to represent my passion for traveling. Next, behind me is a mural of a sunshine. This image was taken when I was in Poland, which is where my dad is from. I am half polish and have been brought up with many polish traditions and I was finally able to visit where my ancestors came from. Lastly, the image of the palm trees and sky was taken during my trip to Cancun. This again represents my love for travel, but also my love for photography. I enjoy photography a lot, and this is one of the images I took while there. I overlapped these images in a way that shows who I am and what I like to do, and cut out the backgrounds of each to create a more put together look. I did this on photoshop with the eraser tool and the move tool to move them to the place I want them to go. This image gives an insight into a little part of who I am, and what is important to me.

Juxtaposition
This image shows my improvement from the beginning of the class to the end. In the first image, my erasing was not as clean. This image is a lot more put together, and shows improvement in color as well as skill. The first image was less finished, and a lot more messy than the first. I like the first one a lot better, as there is a lack of background, therefore making the main focus of the image, me, stand out. Both images represent who I am as a person, the first because of the pictures I used to describe myself, and the second because of the quote I used. I like the second one more, as the images appear as one. In the first image, my skills were limited, and so my image appears as many different images, not flowing together at all. In conclusion, I like my last image the best. It flows together, looks clean, and I especially like the lack of background and simplicity of the image.
